How does the QESCO Bill Calculator Works?

QESCO Bill Calculations for Domestic Single-Phase, Three-phase, and Commercial consumers differ due to slab bifurcation. This bill calculator tentatively estimates the amount for three-phase and single-phase domestic consumers.

Bill Calculation for Single Phase Users

To estimate your upcoming bill or verify your current single-phase QESCO bill, the calculator asks for the following inputs:

For Estimating Upcoming QESCO Bill:

  • Unit consumed – To estimate the upcoming QESCO bill, you can get the unit consumed value by subtracting the presently utilized units shown on the meter from the previous month’s units shown on your bill statement. 
  • Quarterly Adjustment Value – You can get the QTR value from the previous bill to estimate the upcoming bill to the nearest value.
  • Fuel price Adjustment Value – Similarly, you can extract the FPA value from the previous QESCO bill if you are estimating the upcoming bill.

For Verifying Current QESCO Bill:

  • Unit consumed – For consumers trying to verify their present Single-phase QESCO bill calculation, you can input consumed units as mentioned in your current bill.
  • Quarterly Adjustment Value – To verify the current bill, you should input the QTR value mentioned in your present bill.
  • Fuel price Adjustment Value –  In case you are verifying the current bill, you should input the value mentioned as FPA in your current bill.

  • The detailed calculation conducted by the tool also includes the extraction of taxes and charges applied by the QESCO electricity distribution company and the government of Pakistan. These include;
  • F.C. Surcharge means Financing Cost Charges are decided by the Govt. of Pakistan as .43 Paisa per unit. Therefore, the tool multiplies these charges with the total units consumed.
    395 X 0.43 = 169.85 Rs
  • Electricity Duty is applied to the cost of electricity by a multiple of 1.7%. So tool determines the amount as:
    6177.357 * 1.7/100 = 105.015 Rs
  • 35 Rs is the T.V. License Fee (TVL) is the standard fixed fee charged by every consumer. Tool input this constant value on its own.
  • Electricity Duty = E.D
  • T.V. License Fee = TVL Fee
  • General Sales Tax = GST
  • GST on Fuel Price Adjustment = GST on FPA
